InjuryLab uses artificial intelligence to read and sort documents, summarize calls, and draft letters and reports for the Firm's attorney and staff. Here is how your information is protected.
Coded before it leaves. Before any text goes to an outside AI service, people's names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, street addresses, dates of birth
and ID numbers (claim, policy, case, citation) are replaced with codes like [CLIENT_1]. The real values are put back only inside InjuryLab when the answer returns. The code key never leaves our servers.
Never sent. Social Security, driver's license, bank account, routing and card numbers are removed. Anything about a State Bar matter or containing account or card numbers is blocked and not sent at all.
Not used for training. AI services we use are business services that do not train their models on the Firm's data. Services that may see health information sign business associate agreements.
A person decides. AI writes drafts and suggestions. A person at the Firm reviews them; nothing is sent, filed or paid without a person approving it.
Every use is logged - who, which case, what kind of job and what was coded or removed - so the Firm can check it.
Some documents are read as pictures (for example photos of vehicle damage or scanned pages); the Firm is moving these to the same coded process.
